What to expect

Many family law matters can be resolved without going to court. Where that's possible, I'll work toward an agreement that works for everyone involved, especially where children are affected.

When court is necessary, I'll explain the process clearly so you know what's coming and what's expected of you.

I'll be direct with you about what the law says, what's realistic, and what the likely outcomes are. Family law cases vary a lot depending on the facts, and I won't make promises I can't keep.

Child support

Child support in Ontario is calculated using the Federal Child Support Guidelines. The amount depends on the income of the paying parent and the number of children.

If you already have a child support order and your circumstances have changed (for example, your income has changed, or the children's needs have changed), you may be able to vary the order. I can help with that too.
